SEAGULLS boss Kevin Lynch has reached agreement with Wrexham to take young striker Joe Williams on loan, but is disappointed to have now lost Zac Corbett who is joining Welsh Premier League club Rhyl.
Zac had just broken into the side after having to wait patiently for his chance and the manager commented: “We wish him well, but I am disappointed he has gone just when he was breaking into the team. Sometimes a young player needs the stability of staying at one club to build consistency and he was playing in a strong league which is a better shop window, in my opinion, for a young player with ambition. But he has decided to go and we move on.”
The manager has moved swiftly to get the 19-year-old Williams, who has made a couple of first team appearances at Wrexham as a substitute, and who was on loan to Bangor City earlier this season.
He should be in the squad for Tuesday’s cup game at Radcliffe Borough (weather permitting).
