THE Seagulls have announced two more new signings, as well as agreeing terms with a number of the existing squad.

The new signings are midfielder Blake Robinson (top left), who has recently been on trial with Wrexham and has played a couple of pre-season game for them, and big centre forward Callum Hassan (top right) who has impressed in a couple of pre-season games for the Bay, scoring twice.

Blake came through the youth set up at Airbus UK and played in their Under-19 side that finished runners-up to The New Saints in the Welsh Premier Development League (North) last season.

Bay assistant manager Craig Hogg commented: “Blake was very close to getting a deal with Wrexham after travelling with the first team to Portugal. He has impressed us this week and we are happy he has opted to join us here at the Bay.

“We feel that this environment is the right one to help him further develop as a young footballer with potential.”

Big centre forward Callum Hassan, 25, started his pro career with Hartlepool, making his first team debut in League One being released, and his other clubs include Kidderminster Harriers, Workington and Telford.

Craig Hogg commented: “Callum has signed after spending the last three weeks with us.

“The big man hadn’t played for nearly a year, but has come in, worked hard and has proved a right hand full in the games he’s played.

“He has a solid record of scoring goals in both the pro and semi-pro game and we are hoping that record continues with us.”

Hoggy added: “Further additions to the squad are pending and will be announced in the coming days.”

Sadly, however, goalkeeper Matt Cooper, who was voted Player of the Season last term, has left the club due to new increased work commitments which means he will struggle to make midweek training and games from his Manchester base.

He looks likely to join Mossley which is much closer to his work and home.

He will be missed and the club wish him well in the future and thank him for his tremendous efforts for the Bay.

Squad member who have so far committed themselves to the club for the new season include Josh Brizell, Gaz Grant, Tom McCready, Will Booth, Luke Horrocks, Lassa Mendes, Danny Andrews and Danny Bartle, along with summer signings, Craig Prichard, Will Bell, Ethan Devine, James Barrigan, Lewis Moynes and goalkeeper Paddy Rutter.
