Colwyn Bay reserves came from a goal down to earn a 1-1 draw away to Shevington in their opening game since reforming.

They went behind to a penalty after five minutes in a nervy start, but gradually settled down as the game progressed and after being denied by three good saves from the home keeper before half-time, they equalised with a header by skipper Josh Graham a couple of minutes into the second half.

“We were the better team after that and we could have won it. We just need a bit more composure at times, but I was impressed with the energy we showed throughout and there is certainly plenty to build on,” commented reserves manager Chris Thompson.
