“We’ve worked long and hard on him (I don’t give up easily!) and he has had other offers with more money but has decided to come to Colwyn Bay which is fantastic, because he is a tremendous prospect,” said Head of Recruitment Phil Staley.
The 22-year-old Bentham was top scorer two seasons running with North West Counties side Maine Road, scoring 25 goals in his second season, before joining Hyde where he scored 14 goals in 34 appearances before moving on to Stalybridge.
He has agreed to sign after meeting Staley and Bay manager Ash Hoskin over the weekend
Manager Ash Hoskin commented: “We are still talking to other players and if we get the ones we want we will have a decent squad.
