The Bay have completed the signing of former Shrewsbury, Wrexham and Kidderminster midfielder Jamie Tolley.
He has also had spells with Macclesfield Town, Hereford United and Mansfield Town.
“We have got a relatively inexperienced team, especially in midfield, and I felt Jamie’s experience, with over 200 Football League appearances and over a 100 in the Conference would be valuable in the second half of the season,” Frank told Tim Channon.
“He is strong, a good passer of the ball and has an eye for goal with the ability to shoot from distance and I think he will be a valuable player for us.”
His signing, however, means that the Seagulls are now likely to release Jamie Matthews who could be joining Warrington, in order to reduce the senior squad to 17.
“Jamie has been brilliant as a squad player with a superb attitude, but I felt his development was being hampered by not getting enough games.
“I’ve been trying to fix him up at Warrington and if he can get regular games there it will bring on his game,” explained Frank.
