THE Seagulls have signed former Chesterfield striker Carl Lamb, as Kevin Holsgrove returns to Stockport County at the end of his loan spell.
The 31-year-old Lamb was with Liverpool and Chester as a youngster and played for a number of clubs, including Bangor City, Witton Albion, Droylsden and TNS, before spending two years in Australia.
He returned to Britain to sign non-contract forms for League One club Chesterfield, when current Colwyn Bay manager Kevin Lynch was there as first team coach under Paul Cook, but later joined Alfreton Town in the Conference and more recently has been with Rhyl and Denbigh Town.
As he has signed from a Welsh club, he is clear to play in Saturday’s game at Workington.
Holsgrove returns to his parent club Stockport having made 21 appearances for the Bay this season, six times as a second half substitute, scoring two goals.
