THE Seagulls have signed striker Shaun Tuck ahead of Saturday’s big clash at bottom four rivals Ramsbottom United.
Witton Albion paid big money a few years ago for the player who has also been with Accrington Stanley, Marine, Skelmersdale United, Vauxhall Motors and Warrington Town.
More recently he is been playing with Barton (top of North West Counties Div 1) and high-flying Bootle in the North West Counties Premier.
The 28-year-old has had a controversial past, but manager Kevin Lynch commented: “I would rather concentrate on what he brings to the table as a footballer, because he is a tenacious, whole-hearted player who works his socks off for his team and has scored goals wherever he has been.
“He is hungry, fully committed and causes defences no end of problems with his ability and work-rate – that is what he should be judged on.”
