12-12-07: YOUTH ACADEMY FUNDING SCHEME LAUNCHED
CBFC has announced a fundraising scheme in order to help generate the finance required to start up a new Football Youth Academy.
The scheme which is in partnership with “The Utility Warehouse” means that for all supporters who sign up to the scheme there will be a donation of upto 5% of your utility bills made into the “CBFC Youth Academy fund”
As well as helping to raise funds for the academy, supporters who switch over to The Utility Warehouse will benefit from an award winning service with great savings on energy, broadband, telephone & mobile phone services along with discount offers all on one convenient monthly bill.
Representatives from The Utility Warehouse will be on hand at the club for this Saturdays game with Burton Albion to hand out information and provide advice on how you can sign up and the benefits on offer.
Managing Director Darren Cartwright states: “Every football academy system requires funding and this is an ideal way for our supporters to contribute. Our supporters can also take advantage of the savings & special deals on offer. This is a very easy way to provide ongoing support.
The academy itself will benefit local talent in various age groups by improving their skills with quality coaching and by being tested against other academy sides. The ultimate goal is to produce players capable of playing in the Colwyn Bay FC first team & with the ability to move onto professional clubs and hopefully international honours but we need the finances in place and we want to do it as quickly as possible. After a number of weeks consulting with various parties we are due to announce an Academy Director shortly.”
