COLWYN BAY skipper Rob Hopley made his 200th appearance on Tuesday in the 1-1 draw against Gloucester on 25th Feb.

The 29-year-old striker, who was a youth player at Macclesfield Town and joined Colwyn Bay at the start of the 2008/9 season from Leek Town when Steve Pope was manager, has helped the club to two promotions and, apart from the 2009/10 season when he was out for eight months with a serious knee injury, he has regularly been the club’s top goal scorer – scoring 86 goals in total.

Manager Frank Sinclair made Hopley club captain when he took over the reins last year and named him as his Player of the Season at the end of last term.
