Colwyn Bay are through to the semi-finals of the North Wales Coast FA Youth Cup after a 2-1 home victory over Denbigh Town this week.
The Seagulls, including four players from the Under-18s team, were 2-0 up at half-time with goals from Dylan Humphreys and Declan O’Connor and should have had a penalty when Oliver Mason-Lane was brought down heavily in the area.
Oliver ended up in hospital with damaged knee ligaments following the challenge and the club wish him a speedy recovery.
Denbigh pulled a goal back early in the second half, but Colwyn Bay always looked the better side and with better finishing would have won the game by a bigger margin.
Colwyn Bay now travel to Llangoed in the semi-finals next Sunday (2pm kick off).
