A SECOND successive relegation was confirmed with a 4-1 home defeat to Whitby Town (April 12).
The visitors led after 13 minutes with a Richard Pell header from a corner and although Carl Lamb broke clear to equalise before half-time, after Jordan Fagbola earlier had a header cleared off the line, Whitby were always a threat going forward and after the speedy Michael Roberts put them back in front on 57 minutes, they wrapped up victory with two further goals in the last ten minutes from Anthony Hulme and Roberts again.
Colwyn Bay: Andrew Farrimond, Liam Jones (Luke Denson 86mins), Ben Cartwright, Carl Rodgers (c), Jordan Fagbola, Antonie Boland, Sean Sheridan, Stephen Wilson (Nathan Quirk 65mins), Jack Kelleher, Carl Lamb, Jordan Harper (Josh Sumner 73mins). Subs not used: Craig Ellison and Adam Carpenter.
The focus now switches to the Reserves in their quest for a League and Cup double in the Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Reserve Division.
They are away to Llangefni on Wednesday (April 13), Porthmadog on Saturday (April 16) and Denbigh Town next Monday (April 18) before playing Llanegfni again in the semi-final of the League Cup (April 23).
