Rob Hopley

Rob was a youth player at Macclesfield Town before moving on to Winsford United where he was top scorer in the side which won the North West Counties League Championship.

Former Bay manager Steve Pope beat off competition from a number of clubs to sign him from Leek Town and he is now in his eighth season at the club, broken only by a short spell at Chester, and has helped the club to two promotions.

He was the club’s top scorer in their first three seasons in the Conference North and was made team captain when Frank Sinclair took over as manager in February 2013, later to become club captain, and was appointed assistant manager when Ash Hoskin took over as manager in May 2015.
