THE Seagulls are delighted to announce that former defender Neil Coverley has returned to the Seagulls as part of the coaching staff under manager Alan Morgan.

Craig Hogg and Neil Coverley were Cup Winners at Llandudno and are now back together again at the Bay.

Neil, 34, who started his playing career with Crewe Alexandra, was with the Bay in the 2006/7 season when Gary Finlay took over from Peter Davenport as manager and guided the team to the Unibond Division One play-offs before losing 3-2 to an injury time goal at Cammell Laird.

Neil, who had been at the Bay under Ady Jones but went to Llandudno on second forms, was named Player of the Season, but then rejoined Llandudno on permanent basis in 2007.

THE manager has also announced some departures from the playing squad this week. Liam Turner is joining Runcorn Town, Anthony Griffith is set to sign for his local club Congleton Town and Jamie Menagh is also leaving, along with goalkeeping coach Jack Horner who has other commitments. The club thank them all for their hard work and wish them all the best in the future.

The other players were involved a good training session in the Bay on Tuesday night as they prepare for Saturday’s home game against Mossley (3pm).
