COLWYN BAY VS TRAFFORD
Colwyn Bay were on top in the opening stages and nearly took the leaders early as the 9th minute when Steve Aspinall forced Trafford keeper Aaron Tyrer into a flying save as he tipped Asa’s effort just over the crossbar.
The Bay didn’t have to wait long for their goal though as only two minutes later Two minutes later Tom McGill blasted home from just inside the box.
Sheehan and McGill nearly doubled the Bays but Trafford were also looking dangerous as Metcalfe was twice denied by Bay keeper Chris Sanna who also saved a Melford Knight header following Paul Ashton's cross from the left.
Trafford equalised soon after the hour when Melford Knight went on a run from midfield and played in Scott Barlow, His effort bobbled about in the box where Greg Hall was on hand to tap in from close range.
Trafford were then hit by a bit of class as Colwyn Bay broke down the right hand side. New signing Neil Black set up Sheridan who completed the move down the right with a no-nonsense drive into the far corner.
It was a bit of sloppy defending that let Trafford in for an equaliser as Hall fooled himself as well as Sanna as he scuffed the ball past him.
