MANAGER Frank Sinclair is delighted to report that Marc Williams is the first player to sign up for the Seagulls next season.
The former Wrexham and Chester forward, who celebrates his 26th birthday next month, made a big impact when he joined Colwyn Bay last season and won the manager’s Player of the Season award at the club’s presentations night in May.
“Its great to have him back because he was a key player for us last season,” said the Bay boss.
Although the Seagulls have so far lost seven of last season’s squad, the manager says he is excited about the replacements he is lining up.
“It shows how well we did last season that so much interest has been shown in our players and other clubs have been cherry-picking the best of them,” he said.
“It means we will have to put together virtually a new team, but I am confident the players I have lined up will give us a strong squad and I hope to tie up five or six of them in the next week. ”
He expects to have 22 players reporting when pre-season training starts on July 1st.
Meanwhile Colwyn Bay have confirmed three more pre-season friendlies, away to Llandudno on Tuesday July 22nd, at home to Bala Town on Tuesday July 29th and away to Warrington Town on Tuesday August 5th.
