SEAGULLS boss Paul Moore has  agreed terms to sign former Warrington Town keeper Karl Wills.

The 29-year-old Wills, who started his career at Crewe, was with Warrington for three seasons and played a big part in the Yellows reaching the second round proper of the FA Cup in 2014/15, and then winning promotion as runaway champions of the Evostik Division One North last season.

The manager commented: “He was an ever present in the Warrington team that won the league, keeping 28 clean sheets, and he is a fantastic signing for the Bay.”

His registration and international clearance are currently in the process of going through, although may not be in time for Saturday.

The signing follows agreement to release 26-year-old Shaun Pearson

“We would like to put on record our thanks for his efforts and commitment to Colwyn Bay whilst he has been with us. Shaun will remain available until after this weekend,” added the manager.

Shaun, 26, has made 16 appearances for the Bay this season, keeping four clean sheets, and was four games short of making his 50th appearance in all for the club.

Kieran Wolland, on loan from Wrexham, has played in goal for the last five league games in which the Seagulls have been unbeaten.

The Seagulls will be looking to extend that run away to second-bottom Goole on Saturday (Dec 3).

Goole, who have lost six of their last eight games and have the joint worst defensive record in the division, have a new management team in place for the game after parting company with Dave Anderson and Mally Parker this week due to recent poor results.

Senior players David Taylor and Derry Robson take over as joint player managers, assisted by defender Steve Jeff as coach, and will be looking for a big response from their team-mates.
Colwyn Bay may be without central defender Gaz Grant, but have the experienced Kyle Armstrong to come in alongside skipper Tom Hardwick, and manager Paul Moore hinted he may shuffle the pack a little with Will Booth among those pushing for a return to the starting eleven.

Match updates from Goole will be on Twitter @ColwynBayFC.
