League Two clubs open pre-season games

THE Seagulls will kick off their pre-season programme in July with two home games against League Two clubs ahead of the start of the new Evostik League season which is scheduled to start on Saturday August 18th.

Crewe Alexandra visit the 4 Crosses Construction Arena on Wednesday July 11th, with Colchester United the opponents on Friday July 13th (7pm kick off) as part of their planned pre-season tour of the region. Both clubs are expected to bring their first team squads.

Seven games have been arranged so far, five of them at home, with away games agreed at Airbus UK and Stalybridge Celtic

Friendlies arranged so far are:

Weds July 11:  Crewe Alexandra (H) 7:45pm

Fri July 13: Colchester Utd (H) 7:00pm

Tues July 17: Caernarfon Town (H) 7:45pm

Sat July 21: Airbus UK (A) 3pm

Tues July 24:  Bangor City (H) 7:45pm

Sat July 28: Nantwich Town (H) 3pm

Sat Aug 4: Stalybridge Celtic (A) 3pm



The club are to reform a reserve team for the 18/19 season to play in the Lock Stock Premier Reserve League.
Players are invited to apply to train and play under the same philosophy as, and offering a potential pathway to, the first team, with home fixtures played at Llanelian Road.

Club coach Neil Coverley commented: “A fantastic positive step forward this. The first of many developments that will be happening.”
