CBFITC’s Summer Scorcher Soccer Camp
Colwyn Bay Football Club recently held a successful summer soccer camp at Bryn Elian High School! From the 1st to the 3rd of June over 50 young players took part and learnt various football skills, different training techniques and much more over three brilliantly sunny days.
At the end of each day the players were treated to a 'fun' mini tournament where they could show off their silky skills! With CBFITC coaches Joseph Fontana, Gareth Edwards, Dewi Thomas, Wayne Williams and Christian Fontana, the players were able to gain confidence, express themselves and over the three day period develop and utilize the skills they have learned.
Set at the wonderfully equipped Bryn Elian High School, the players were treated to glorious weather as they were taught all their new football skills. Under the watchful eye of Christian Fontana, everything ran smoothly and on the final day every player left with a certificate for their stunning effort. All that attended once again had a fun filled three days and loved the soccer camp so much they even got a sun tan to boot!
CBFITC’s Flood Light Football Frenzy
Colwyn Bay Football Club in the Community (CBFITC) in collaboration with North Wales Police and the Youth Service recently held two evenings of free football coaching and games at Pentre Mawr Park, Abergele. With top class coaching from Christian Fontana, Joseph Fontana, Kelly Davies and expert goalkeeping from Dewi Thomas, children from 5 to 15 were treated to a feast of football.
During the evening, a penalty shoot out was a major success with Josh Macgillivray showing his cool from the spot to win the competition. Josh will receive a signed football for his efforts.
With wonderful refreshments provided by Conwy Youth Service, CBFITC showed yet again (despite the baking hot weather!!) that they are at the fore front of community football in North Wales.
