INTERIM manager Phill Hadland has brought in experienced coach Rick Ward from Warrington Town to work alongside him and senior player Chris Gahgan.
Ward has been at Warrington for five seasons and was a key member of their backroom staff when they had their big FA Cup run in 2014 and then followed that by being runaway league champions last season.
“Rick, alongside Chris Gahgan, will be assisting me as well as working as a coach,” said the manager, who added he will working very hard with the players in training this week to prepare for the tough Boxing Day game against form team Trafford.
“There will be no time off. We will be working very hard preparing for Trafford because we will need every edge we can get,” he said
Third-placed Trafford have gone eleven games unbeaten and are the top scorers in all three Divisions of the Evo-stik NPL, with former Chorley and Altrincham striker Aaron Burns the league’s top individual scorer with 23 goals so far this season.
