The 27-year-old attacking midfielder comes on an extended loan from Stockport County initially until December 31st.
He has agreed to return for a third spell with the Seagulls, despite competition from Vanarama clubs Telford and Southport, and manager Ash Hoskin is hoping the paperwork and international clearance can be completed in time for him to be involved in Saturday’s home game against Ilkeston (3pm).
If not, he should be available for the Salford game next Tuesday.
The manager revealed that Head of recruitment Phil Staley did the business by persuading Holsgrove to return for a third spell at Llanelian Road and commented: “We new Telford and possibly Southport were in for him once Neil Young at Stockport said he was available, but my man Mr Staley has got him to come to us which is fantastic news.
“It is a fantastic signing for us because he already knows the club and is just the type of player we are looking to bring in.”
Holsgrove did well in midfield when he had a second spell at the club towards the end of last season, before being unluckily suspended for the last three games, and he travelled over to watch his new team-mates in action in Tuesday’s home win against Hyde
“He was in the dressing room with the lads before and after the game and fitted straight in,” added the manager. “It will be great to have him on board.”
