Colwyn Bay boss Frank Sinclair is looking forward to the new Skrill North season, which starts at Histon on Saturday.
Frank said he was happy with Bay’s pre-season, which concluded with a 1-1 draw at home to a Leeds United XI on Tuesday.
“It’s been enjoyable but a tough, long six weeks. But we’ve prepared well,” Frank said. “The main thing was obviously getting the boys fit. We’ve had a lot of bodies to integrate into the team with a lot of new faces.
“The boys have done well and there’s plenty of competition for places and everyone’s pushed and done as hard as they can. They’ll get the understanding of how we’re going to play to our strengths as we go along. I don’t expect us to be bang at it come Saturday.
“But we’ve got enough in the changing room to compete for the first four games I think. We go to Histon, which will be a tough place to go, on Saturday. We had two good games against them last season. They compete and are physical. But I like to think what I’ve got in my changing room will do the same.”
Bay will be without the suspended Rob Hopley and Cameron Darkwah but player-coach Ade Akinbiyi has been included in the squad.
