Alan Morgan


  DOB: 02/11/1973
Alan made 69 first team appearances in midfielder for Tranmere Rovers, before spells at Doncaster Rovers and Morecambe. As manager at Llandudno he guided them to promotion to the Welsh Premier League and, in their first season, to qualify for Europe by finishing third.

Craig Hogg

Assistant Manager

  DOB: 08/10/1981
Craig played for the Bay from 2001-3  after being released by Everton and then had a spell at Caernarfon Town before joining Llandudno where he captained them to two cup successes and helped them to three finals in five years as a player. He then had five years as assistant manager to Alan Morgan, helping Llandudno win promotion  to the Welsh Premier as Cymru Alliance champions. He is a UEFA B licence coach and hopes to be on the A licence in early 2018.

Neil Coverley

1st Team Coach

DOB: 20/01/1983
Neil started his playing career at Crewe Alexandra and played for Colwyn Bay in the 2006/7 season when they reached the Unibond Division 1 play-offs, having previously been at the Bay under Ady Jones before going to Llandudno on second forms. Covs  was voted Player of the Season in 2007, but then returned for a second spell at Llandudno.

Lisa Edwards



Lisa, who works as a sports therapist with L.E. Sports Therapy North Wales in Rhyl, was with Rhyl FC for several years before having a spell at Conwy Borough. She trained at Birmingham University.


Paddy Rutter


  DOB: 04/10/1997

Paddy was with Tranmere for ten years as boy and youth and was unlucky not to be offered a contract before being released  and joining Welsh Premier side Llandudno.

Gareth Grant


DOB: 16/08/1990

A strong centre half, Gareth was signed from Runcorn Town, where he scored 11 goals in 36 appearances. He has also had spells with St Helens Town and Ashton Athletic. Gareth was voted Directors’ Player and Manager’s Player of the Season for 2016/17.

Olly Marx


DOB: 11/01/1998

The 20-year-old centre half came through the youth team at Wrexham. He made several first team appearances and had a couple of spells on loan at Southport and Rushall Olympic before surprisingly being released at the end of last season. He signed for the Bay in August despite interest from a number of clubs.

Lewis Moynes

wing back

DOB: 09/10/1996

Lewis can play as a wing back or outright winger and is an attacking threat with his geat pace and good ball control. He came through the youth system at Tranmere Rovers and was previously with Welsh Premier Llandudno.

Will Bell


DOB: 24/09/1994

Will was captain of the Under 17s and Under 18s at Morecambe before signing for Bala Town after originally going on loan. He went on to have three spells at Bala, which included a short spell on loan to Colwyn Bay in 2015/16. He has also had spells at Aberystwyth Town and Rhyl.

Josh Brizell


  DOB: 15/10/1991

Josh was captain of the youth and reserve team at Rochdale before breaking into the first team. He has since had spells at Telford, Hyde, Glossop North End and Marine.

Blake Robinson



Blake was with Airbus UK and was a member of their Under 19 team which finished runners-up to The New Saints in the Welsh Premier U23 Development League (North). He went for trials at Wrexham in the summer and was unlucky not to be offered a contract before joining Colwyn Bay in August.

Lassana Mendes


DOB: 26/12/1992

Versatile midfielder who can play in a number of positions, Lass played for Spanish Second Division clubs Cadiz and PV Ejido in his native Spain before coming to England. He was voted Player of the Year and was team captain for a number of games at Radcliffe Borough and then had a short spell at Stalybridge Celtic before signing for Colwyn Bay.

Luke Horrocks


DOB: 20/08/1988

A central midfielder, Luke was in the Curzon Ashton squad that won the Evo-Stik One North championship in 2013/14 for the club’s first title in 36 years. He started as a trainee at Bury and has also had spells at Northwich Victoria, Hednesford Town, New Mills and Trafford.

Will Booth


  DOB: 29/07/1997

Will was signed from Kidsgrove after coming through the ranks at Port Vale, and was a member of the Cheshire team that won the FA County Youth Cup in 2015. Will was voted Supporters Player of the Season in 2016/17.

Tom McCready


DOB: 07/06/1991

Tom is an Everton youth graduate who signed after coming initially on loan from AFC Fylde. He previously had two seasons with League Two Exeter City where he scored in a League Cup tie against Sunderland. He has also been with Altrincham, Chester and Morecambe as well having a spell in America on a scholarship with Limestone College.

Danny Andrews


DOB: 14/10/1996

A quality wing-back with an eye for goal, Danny was on Liverpool’s books as a youngster and after a spell at Cammell Laird, where he was Player of the Year in 2009/10, he joined Witton Albion in 2011, 2013/14 and made over 250 appearances for the Cheshire club, scoring over 80 goals – including 24 in 52 appearances in 2015/16. Colwyn Bay paid a transfer fee to bring him to the club in the summer of 2016.

Danny Bartle


DOB: 15/05/1993

A pacey goal-scoring forward, Danny was signed from Sandbach Town after netting 18 goals in the first half of their season in the North West Counties League and helping them to promotion the previous campaign.

Ashley Ruane


DOB: 25/06/1985

An experienced striker, Ashley was a member of the Warrington Town squad that beat League Two Exeter City to reach the second round proper of the FA Cup in 2014. He then moved to Welsh Premier outfit Connah’s Quay and helped them to a famous win over Norwegian side Stabaek in the Europa League in 2016. He joined Cefn Druids in January 2018 and helped them qualify for this season’s Europa League qualifiers.

Craig Pritchard

Attacking midfield

DOB: 15/04/1997

A Wales Futsal international, Craig played in the Futsal Home Internationals in Edinburgh and scores in Wales’ 8-0 win over Northern Ireland.  He can play as a winger or in a number 10 role and was the key playmaker for Denbigh Town  last season, helping them finish runners-up behind Caernarfon Town in the Huws Gray Cymru Alliance.

James Barrigan


DOB: 25/01/1998

A versatile player who can be used in a number of positions, James came through the Academy and youth team at Wigan Athletic. He made three first team appearances for the Latics before signing for Conference side Chorley in February 2018.

Callum Hassan


DOB: 23/01/1993

 The big centre forward started his playing career with Hartlepool, making one first team appearance before being released. His clubs since include Kidderminster Harriers, Workington, Harrogate Town and Telford. 

Bryan Kelly

Kit Manager

Bryan has been the club’s kit manager for more than 12 years having been a supporter of the club for a number of years before that.

Elfyn Jones

Head Groundsman

Elfyn has been the head groundsman for a number of years and regularly receives accolades from visiting teams and officials for the superb condition of the Colwyn Bay pitch.
