FA Trophy tie abandoned

It looks as though Colwyn Bay and Altrincham will have to meet again on Tuesday night after Saturday’s FA Trophy tie was abandoned with nearly nine minutes still to play.
Referee Mark Ackerman, who had been involved in a number of controversial decisions, was unable to continue after suffering a injury to his calf.
With no fourth official in attendance there was a long delay to see if there was a qualified official in the crowd who could take over the line.
One Altrincham supporter came forward claiming to have refereeing badges, but he was rejected as he had apparently been drinking before the game.
A member of the Altrincham backroom staff, who also has badges, then offered to do it so the game could be finished, but Bay boss Frank Sinclair was not prepared to agree to that.
In the end the game was abandoned and the clubs now await a final decision from the FA.
