Former Tranmere Rovers forward Samuel Ilesanmi began this season with Llandudno in the Welsh Premier.
Originally from Nigeria, the 20-year-old came through the youth team at Tranmere Rovers and scored the winning goal on his first team debut in a 1-0 against Maidstone in the National League last season.
He had a month on loan at Warrington Town, where he also scored in a 2-0 win over Skelmersdale United, before being released by Tranmere in the summer and joining Alan Morgan when he was manager at Llandudno and scoring against Colwyn Bay in a pre-season friendly in July which Llandudno won 2-0.
He recently left Llandudno my mutual consent.
Morgan said: “I’ve known Sam for a while and he has got good pace and power and can be a handful. He has to realise, however, that coming out of full time football there are good players at this level and he’s going to have to work hard.”
The club extends a warm welcome to Sam who has been cleared to play on Saturday, if selected, against a Colne side who suffered a nightmare second half in a 6-0 home defeat to Clitheroe on Boxing Day.
A new loan signing for the Bay is to be announced later, with Nathan Brown due to return to Chester on Sunday at the end of his month’s loan.
