It is with great sadness to announce that ex Colwyn Bay player, manager and groundsman Elfed Morris passed away today.
Elfed was born in the town and had a Football League career most famously with Chester, but also played for Wrexham, Halifax Town, Caernarfon Town, Llandudno and Bethesda. Elfed was the nephew of former Wales and Burnley player Billy Morris, who later manager Wrexham.
He was a familiar and much loved face at the club, and will be sadly missed. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
The club have confirmed that a minute’s applause will be held before the FA Trophy tie against Altrincham on Saturday, 16 November at Llanelian Road.
