Football fans by the name of David will get the chance to watch a Skrill Conference North game for free on March 1st.
Colwyn Bay face Barrow on Saint David’s Day and the North Wales club will mark Wales’ national day with a special offer.
The Seagulls will admit anyone named David to the Barrow game FREE OF CHARGE upon presentation of ID.
In Welsh St David’s Day is known as Dydd Gwyl Dewi and therefore anyone by the name of Dewi will also be allowed free entry.
One of seven Davids involved with the club is chairman David Messom:
“As a David who is a proud supporter of Colwyn Bay FC, who fly the Welsh flag in the English football pyramid, I say to all my fellow David’s on our Patron Saint’s Day March 1st come on down to Llanelian Road and watch the Mighty Bay play for free.”
“The characteristics of the name David are Confidence, Discipline and Organisation, which are a match for the current Colwyn Bay FC team.
“It’s great that all people named David which also means “Beloved” can come in for free on St David’s Day and watch their beloved team play Barrow.”
In addition every adult attending the game will be given a raffle ticket and entered into a draw to win two stand tickets for the Tom Jones concert being held in Eirias Park on Friday 25th July.
