EACH year Colwyn Bay Football Club tries to offer support to charities with a close link to the area or the club itself.
Last season we offered support to Hope House children’s hospice, both in terms of money we raised and through a visit from a number of the players and directors last Christmas to leave Christmas presents.
For this seasonthe directors have chosen two charities for the club to support; North Wales Superkids and The Brain Tumour Charity.
North Wales Superkids supports disadvantaged children and young people in the area through a number of different schemes that they operate. The Brain Tumour Charity is at the forefront of the fight to defeat brain cancer and helps the lives of people with a brain tumour and their families.
We’ll put more about the two charities in future match day programmes and on our the website, but for the time being you’ll notice that there are collection boxes for both charities on the clubhouse bar so please contribute if you are able to.
There will be other fundraising activities during the season and we’ll publicise these.
The club and its supporters have long had a reputation for being both generous and open to the needs of others and we hope that you will be able to support our two charities in the year to come.
