Colwyn Bay FC are extending their junior section with the addition of Under 12, 14 and 16s teams for boys and girls.
The club already host a very successful Elite Centre for Under 7, 8, 9 10 and 11’s which is held every Wednesday at the new Eirias Park Barn facility. In these sessions, UEFA qualified coaches help children with an aptitude towards football new skills, techniques and building their mental awareness within the game.
The elite centre has seen significant improvements from players and have received positive feedback from parents who attend and observe sessions.
Building on this success, the are now going to hold weekly sessions for the new Under 12, 14 and 16’s boys teams, which will also include monthly games against different academies and development centres.
Players can play for both the elite centre and their current junior teams as Colwyn Bay FC is in the Welsh system which allows this.
The centre director is Chris Thompson, Colwyn Bay FC reserve team manager, English Premiership Scout and UEFA qualified coach. Other coaches available are Mike Pearson (Airbus first team player), Matt Sampson (Colwyn Bay FC Football in The Community and reserve team player and assistant manager), and Colwyn Bay first team players Gaz Evans and Marc Williams.
