Colwyn Bay lost 2-0 to Conference Premier side Wrexham in their second pre-season friendly at Llanelian Road on Tuesday evening. Louis Moult and Wes York scored in the space of three second half minutes to secure victory for Wrexham.
The Bay fielded a mix of familiar faces, new signings and trialists and despite the defeat to Kevin Wilkin’s full-time side, Bay boss Frank Sinclair was pleased with his team’s performance.
“We competed well in the first half when I had most of the group who have signed out on the pitch,” Frank said.
“But the second half was somewhat bitty and we got tired, obviously because we’ve only been back two weeks.
“Being part-time and not having the luxury of being in every day, it’s hard to monitor who is coming along nicely or not.
“But I was pleased with the first-half performance. I thought we passed the ball really well , we had a few chances and I thought we matched Wrexham.”
