Bay sign Spanish midfielder

Tim ChannonFirst Team

SEAGULLS boss Phill Hadland has signed Spanish midfielder Lassana Nalatche Mendes from Stalybridge Celtic.

The versatile 24-year-old  was with Radliffe Borough last season, where he was voted Player of the Year and was captain for a number of games.
He played for Cadiz FC and PV Ejido from Andalusia in the Spanish Segunda Division B before coming over to England, and Phill commented: “He can play in a number of positions and will provide us with a lot of versatility.”
It is a timely signing with the small squad currently hit by injuries and forthcoming suspensions.
Lassana could make his debut on Saturday at home to Goole, who gained their first points of the season with a 2-0 win over Tadcaster tonight, providing his international clearance comes through in time.
