Bay re-sign Sean Williams

Midfielder Sean Williams has returned to Colwyn Bay from Skrill Premier side FC Halifax Town. The 21-year-old made 25 apperances for the Bay last season before signing for Halifax in January, but after playing a big part in the Yorkshire team’s promotion to the Conference Premier, he has not been able to gain a regular place in the team this season. Williams is eligible to play for the Seagulls in the FA Cup and the club are trying to get all the paperwork done in time for Saturday’s fourth qualifying round tie against Corby Town.
“I am very pleased. Obviously Sean brings a great footballing quality to add to our squad and the confidence and experience of playing a major part in Halifax being promoted last season can only help us in our goals for this season,” Bay manager Frank Sinclair told Tim Channon.
“It has been a hard fought process bringing him back to the club with interest from other Conference clubs trying to get his signature and I have to thank especially the chairman Dave Messom for the part he has played, as well as others behind the scenes.”
The former Stockport County player is the second Williams to join the club during recent weeks with ex-Wrexham striker Marc Williams added to the squad last week.
