Bay Announce New Partnership With Visit Conwy

Colwyn Bay Football Club will be promoting tourism in the County of Conwy on the front of their shirts during the 2013-2014 Conference North season.

The Seagulls have announced a new partnership with Visit Conwy, which promotes tourism in the County of Conwy.

“The club is proud to represent the Colwyn Bay area and the county of Conwy in the Conference North,” said Bay chairman Bob Paton. “We travel the length and breadth of the Britain during the season and this partnership is a great opportunity to promote Conwy.

“We know that many opposition fans who come to Colwyn Bay to support their team also stay on for an extended weekend to enjoy what they area has to offer. We are grateful to Visit Conwy for their support, which is very much appreciated as we look forward to our third season in the Conference North.”

Councillor Graham Rees, Conwy County Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Tourism, Marketing and Leisure said the partnership would benefit both parties.

“We recognise the tremendous potential of working with Colwyn Bay Football Club in delivering a Visit Conwy message as they travel for their league and cup fixtures,” said Mr Rees. “The Tourist Information Service will be also be happy to assist visiting fans with their accommodation needs when staying in Colwyn Bay, offering a warm Visit Conwy welcome.”

The new partnership was unveiled during Colwyn Bay’s home pre-season friendly against FA Trophy winners Wrexham on Tuesday evening.
