THE Seagulls have been drawn away to Droylsden in the next round of the FA Cup following last Saturday’s 3-0 success against Stocksbridge Park Steels.
The tie is scheduled for Saturday September 2nd (3pm).
Colwyn Bay completed a big league double over Droylsden last season, winning 4-0 at home and 4-2 away, but the Manchester side still finished above us in the table and have won two of their three league and cup games so far this season.
Manager Phill Hadland commented: “We are happy with that, although obviously we’d have preferred to be at home.
“I think both teams will be happy because we both know a bit about each other and both sides will think it is a winnable tie.
“Droylsden have strengthened in pre-season and already had a team that could beat anybody on their day, so it is set up to be a good game.”
