Juniors tournament a big success

THE club’s junior football tournament at Llanelian Road has been well supported in excellent weather over the weekend with games for U10s and U11s in action on Saturday and then on Sunday there were tournaments for U7s, U8s and U9s.

Fifty teams took part with over 500 players competing on the first team pitch and there were over 1,000 people watching which created a great atmosphere for the players in the different age groups.

Thanks to everyone who supported the event and a big thank you to Academy director Chris Thompson and his team of coaches for putting on another excellent event.

Hopefully we’ll see you all again next year.
