THE Seagulls have completed the signing of former Republic of Ireland international Michael Roddy from Droyslden.
The 28-year-old, who was capped by the Irish at Under-17, Under-18 and Under-19 levels, was a trainee at Bolton Wanderers before signing his first professional contract with Lincoln City.
He then had a short spell playing in Cyprus and on his return had spells at Witton Albion, Guiseley and two spells at Northwich Victoria which were interrupted by a short time at Airbus UK.
Manager Paul Moore commented: “Phil and I watched him a number of times at Northwich last season when they looked like winning the league and he was pivotal in the success that they were having at that time.
“He organises well and gets his foot in to win second balls which is something we have probably been lacking.
“He needs to get fit because he hasn’t been playing the games that he should have recently, but we think he is someone who can provide some added guile to the central midfield area.
