Seagulls finish second in Respect table

COLWYN BAY have finished second out of 24 clubs in the Premier Division final table behind Blyth Spartans for Technical Area Behaviour Marks awarded by referees at Evostik League games during the 2015/16 season.

NPL Respect manager Phil Bradley says this season’s figures are quite exceptional with only three of the 68 member clubs failing to average a “good” mark over the course of the season.

“When the League began its Respect Programme just 38 per cent of Tech Area’s were marked Excellent on match days – it is now up to around 56 per cent,” he reports.

“In addition, in the same period management teams behaviour marked ‘poor’ in games has virtually halved. The number of dismissals from the Technical Area has gone down from 47 when we started in 2010 to 18 this season.

“I would like to thank all the clubs whose Chairman, Board of Directors and Management teams who have bought in to the programme for their help in achieving this remarkable progress.”
