Colwyn Bay v Ossett Town – Match Preview

Tom Smyth, Jamie Crowther and Adi Akinbiyi are all back in contention for Saturday’s home FA Cup third qualifying round tie against Ossett Town.

The trio missed last weekend’s home defeat to North Ferriby United in the Skrill North.

The Seagulls face a side two divisions below them but who were unbeaten in nine league and cup games before an FA Trophy loss last weekend.

Ossett have come through three rounds of this year’s FA Cup, with the help of two replays, beating Emley, Bamber Bridge and Warrington Town.

Bay manager Frank Sinclair, an FA Cup winner with Chelsea in 1997, said he was  expecting a “tough physical battle.”

“We have worked hard in training this week on combating Ossett’s strengths and exploiting their weaknesses,” Frank told Tim Channon.

“If we match them for effort then we should have enough to beat them.”
