Betws-yn-Rhos 2-4 Colwyn Bay Reserves

The Reserves maintained their unbeaten record with a 4-2 away victory at Betws-yn-Rhos, writes Tim Channon.

Chris Thompson’s side led 1-0 at the break with a goal from Ryan Watson.

The home side equalised three minutes into the second half, but the Bay moved into a 4-1 lead with further goals from Jack Kennerley, Joe Collier and Matt Sampson before Betws-yn-Rhos pulled a second goal back late in the game.

That makes it a draw and two wins for the newly formed Reserves squad in their pre-season programme so far.

All the squad have signed Conference forms and so will be available for the first team if needed at any time – Declan O’Connor got a run out in the back four against Chelsea last weekend.

Tonight’s line-up: Pitts, Thomas, Taylor, Evans, Graham, Sheridan, Seddon, O’Connor, Hodgson, Noble, Watson Subs: Rees, Dwain Jones, Sampson, Humphreys, Waters, Snow, Kennerley, Liam Jones, Algieri, Collier.
